I have been invited to participate in a group exhibition reflecting the state of Callan Park. Two weeks ago, the four artist’s involved went on a walk together to explore the buildings and the grounds, and share stories and histories about the park. It was late in the day when we got to the end of the park. The clouds were low and dark. We were all taking photos and enjoying the moody light. Then the rain and wind whipped up and it was a mad dash for shelter.
I will go back and draw in the park when the weather is better! I want to explore the idea of the natural spaces and the way people use them. I will use these drawings and the photos to create paintings in my studio.
